But fun aside: The heat protection for the exhaust of the popular BMW F 750/850 GS models, which Wunderlich has in its range as a well-made BMW accessories specialist, provides a remedy. Of course, it protects twice: Thermal. And mechanically. Thermal because it reliably shields the radiant heat in the front area of the rear silencer and avoids contact with the hot exhaust at the neuralgic points. This protects against painful burn injuries and prevents damage to luggage. At the same time, the heat protection offers a high mechanical protection against scratches or dents on the rear silencer, which can easily occur when driving off-road or in the event of an unfortunate fallover. The structural stability of Wunderlich's long-lasting construction results from the multi-point fastening and stiffness of the precisely edged, partly broken, black powder-coated stainless steel.
