Robust Gore Tex three-layer laminate

The Jacket and trousers of the Touratech Compañero Rambler are made of the three-layer laminate Gore-Tex® Pro. The equally resistant and supple material allows a pleasantly close to the body cut. In contrast to classic liner constructions, no water absorption takes place, rather the rain rolls off at the outermost layer, so that the wearing comfort is maintained even during long rain rides.

Despite the highest water resistance, the laminate enables effective water vapour transport, so that the user does not immediately sweat even during physical exertion.

Sophisticated ventilation system

In order to offer a pleasant wearing climate even in the greatest heat, the Compañero Rambler has a sophisticated ventilation system. If the waterproof zipper of the double front zipper is opened, the jacket remains closed by a second, underlying zipper. However, a strip of extremely air-permeable mesh material running over the entire height has now been released. This allows a large air ingress, but keeps insects away. Another important element of the highly effective ventilation system are the large ventilation flaps, two of which are located on the chest and on the thighs. Waterproof zippers allow a wide opening of the upper material, which is secured with a magnetic button flutter-free. The ventilation openings are also backed by a three-dimensional mesh. For ventilation of the arms, ventilation zippers at the level of the biceps are provided. The exit openings on the back of the jacket can be regulated by means of waterproof zippers. This makes the Compañero Rambler perfectly equipped for high temperatures. If, on the other hand, it gets really cool, an integrated, removable kidney belt and the inner jacket provide cosy warmth. In the right dirty weather, the removable storm collar allows a weatherproof closure to the helmet.

Protection at the highest level

And the Touratech Compañero Rambler is also ideally positioned in terms of protection. The robust 600 nylon upper of the Gore Tex® three-layer laminate is reinforced with Armacor in particularly abrasion-prone areas. The standard protectors on the back, elbows, shoulder and knee have the highest protection class Level 2, the hip protector corresponds to Level 1.

The same protection class can be retrofitted in the chest area. This elaborate safety package allows the Compañero Rambler to be certified as class AA motorcycle protective clothing – only a leather suit would be safer.

Perfect fit and comfort

Despite all the safety awareness, comfort was of course also taken into account when developing the Compañero Rambler. Straps on the torso, arms and legs are used to fine-tune the fit. In the lower part of the jacket there is a zipper on the side, with which the circumference can be extended when sitting. A perfect fit of the suit, protection against drafts and the avoidance of slipping up of the jacket in the event of a fall are ensured by the generously dimensioned connecting zippers between trousers and jacket. Stretch inserts in the trouser legs provide extra freedom of movement, while skin-friendly neoprene is used on the collar. Non-slip attachments on the buttocks guarantee a secure fit even during strong braking manoeuvres.

Extensive size selection

The Compañero Rambler is available in individual cuts for women and men in seven sizes. The men's version is available in the colors gray and black, for women there is the Rambler in gray.

VENTILATION

The double front zipper ensures extensive air entry if required.The mesh fabric is backed with fleece, which keeps insects away. The watertight closable ventilation flaps are fixed by magnetic buttons when opened.

THE TECHNOLOGIES

With the gore-Tex Pro three-layer laminate, the upper, membrane and a thin inner fabric are combined to form a single unit. This construction is robust, close to the body and prevents the upper material from soaking.Seesoft protectors ensure optimum impact absorption with a large-scale distribution of impact energy due to their sandwich structure of alternating layers of nitrile polymers and polynorbene rubber.
