With the new Road 5 GT, Michelin is entering a new touring era. As a GT version, the Michelin Road 5 has been specially developed for use on heavy machinery with high payloads. For this purpose, a reinforced karkass construction was designed, among other things. The well-known 2CT rubber compounds at the front and 2CT+ at the rear as well as the profile design remained unchanged, both of which have been known for high mileage and a lot of grip since the road 5 was released – especially in wet conditions.
The new Road 5 GT from Michelin is now available in two front wheel and four rear wheel dimensions. Approvals for the most popular touring motorcycles such as the BMW K 1600 GT, BMW R 1200 RT, Yamaha FJR 1300 or the Honda Pan European will be available soon. These are available on the Michelin motorcycle website https://www.michelin.de/motorbike/startseite-motorrad.
