Photo: Louis Every year, a group of louis trainees are allowed to convert a motorcycle into an apprentice bike. The results of the action were unique each time. The current trainee bike is no exception.
The fifth edition of the Trainee bike campaign took place at the beginning of December 2019 in the test workshop of the company headquarters. This time the conversion object was a Cagiva Raptor 650, built in 2001, a sporty Naked Bike, which was once intended as an alternative to the Ducati Monster, but could never really prevail against the cult bike from Bologna.
The machine had been given to us by a customer especially for the conversion. She had not been driven for years after an accident. One week Carina, Florian, Jeffrey, Mara, Patrizia and Valentin had time to let their creativity out at the Cagiva. Workshop manager Martin had given the topic of Scrambler as a rough direction.
The budding merchants from the branches and the head office were all already infected with the motorcycle virus, but had little to zero experience as a screwdriver. This has changed radically in the five working days: from changing oil to venting brakes, from changing tyres to chain-riveting, from self-built brackets to the correct wiring of the new cockpit – the finished trainee bike has a lot of small and large learning effects and success experiences.
Will the new Suzuki Hayabusa come in 2019?
