The motorcycle market in Germany once again had to cope with a decline in new registrations in September. Compared to September 2020, -16.9% motorcycles were sold (motorcycles only). In quantities, this means: 8,667 machines vs. 10,429 machines in the previous year.

Compared to the previous month, almost nothing is happening in terms of market shares. So it remains the case that BMW sells about twice as many bikes as the three pursuers Honda, KTM and Kawasaki. Little has happened in the top 50 motorcycles either. From our point of view, the fact that the highly praised Ducati Multistrada V4 (also by us) is only in 26th place with only 1,079 units sold. Nevertheless, it is Ducati's best-selling machine, so there can be no question of a failure.
