Also in September, the new motorcycle registrations were lively. Compared to the previous year, approvals increased by about 2 percent. The top 10 also increased slightly compared to August with 25,718 sales (August: 24,065). The very good and especially long summer has played into the hands of the motorcycle market in 2018 as expected.
Little has been done in the distribution of market shares. Kawasaki also defends second place behind BMW in September, followed by Honda, KTM and Yamaha. Only Suzuki and Ducati are swapping places compared to August, otherwise the market shares will remain the same. Even in the top 10 machines, almost nothing has happened - the 1200 GS still sells like sliced bread, but is the only BMW in the top 10.
