Motorcycle new registrations August 2020

And another good month for newly registered motorcycles: According to the IVM, a total of 23,146 motorized two-wheelers were registered in Germany in August 2020. In the same period last year, there were 14,505. This represents an increase of a whopping 59.57 percent!

Corona - what was the same? Okay, you shouldn't be kidding about that - but at least when it comes to the sale of motorcycles, the crisis seems to have more than passed. Almost 60 percent growth in all four two-wheelers is impressive. In the category "motorcycles" (all over 125 cc) with 12,704 bikes sold, there is still an increase of 41 percent compared to 2019. Impressive. Impressive.

On the other hand, little has changed in terms of manufacturers' rankings. BMW loses a little to 20.9%, but is still well ahead of the chasers Kawasaki, Honda, KTM and Yamaha. Royal Enfield is still on the rise with a market share of 1.66 per cent. Let's take a look at the TOP-50 bikes:
