More comfort for all CMX models and new CMX 1100 SE Rebel
The Honda CMX500, which is suitable for an A2 driver's license and predestined for beginners – the best-selling custom motorcycle in Europe in 2021, 2022 and 2023 – is receiving improvements that benefit everyday usability.
The handlebar position has been rearranged for 2025 to improve seating position and comfort. For this purpose, shock absorbers with modified bumper rubbers are mounted, which optimize the suspension behavior on roads with inferior asphalt quality. A new driver's seat upholstery also increases seating comfort, while the seat height remains pleasantly low at 690 mm.
The CMX500 has always been characterized by the fact that the pillion seat and passenger footrests can be dismantled or attached in just a few simple steps to convert the machine to suit solo operation or riding in pairs.
The CMX500 Rebel can also be easily adapted to the individual ideas of the owner. The range of optional Honda accessories includes: luggage rack, backrest, tank pad, lamp mask, nylon or leather saddlebags and more. All parts are available individually as well as in ready-made packages with a price advantage.
The CMX500 S Edition, which is already equipped with a Honda Genuine Accessories package ex works, will also be offered in 2025. In addition to bronze-colored rims, their equipment is upgraded: lamp mask with tinted window, fork bellows, a fork cover and a padded, brown driver's seat with quilted seams.
The CMX1100 Rebel, which has been offered for four years, also upgrades targeted improvements in engine performance, comfort and ergonomics. This is joined by the new model variant CMX1100SE Rebel. As a special edition, it already shines ex works with Honda original accessories. The extras include a lamp mask, fork bellows, specially developed fork guards and a sporty short front fender. The SE variant is also the first Honda (since the RC213V-S) to be equipped with bar-end mirrors ex works.
All three CMX1100 Rebel variants (standard/T/SE) shine in 2025 with an optimized seating position, where the handlebars are mounted further back and higher, while the footrests have been positioned further forward. In addition, the seat pad is now 10 mm thicker upholstered. The seat height is still a pleasant 710 mm.
Veterans and beginners alike love the power delivery of the 1,084 cc two-cylinder in-line engine. For 2025, the twin has been retuned via a higher compression ratio to bring out the characterful performance even more and support the atmospheric exhaust sound.
Control via the electronic throttle grip management (Throttle by Wire) enables modern driving assistance programs. Three predefined riding modes (Standard, Rain, Sport) are available. In addition, two configurable user modes can be adapted to the driving conditions. For example, the power delivery of the engine, the strength of the engine brake, traction control including integrated Wheelie Control and the shifting behaviour of the DCT dual-clutch transmission can also be influenced.
In 2025, the optional DCT dual-clutch transmission in the 1100 CMX variants will impress with smoother starting from a standstill and improved controllability at low speeds (below 10 km/h) as well as during U-turn turning manoeuvres. A new 5-inch TFT colour display integrates RoadSync connectivity. A USB-C port for supplying other consumers is accessible and placed next to it. Cruise control completes the equipment.
