The last Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition at the dealer
Photo: Ducati The very last 1299 Panigale R Final Editions are now delivered to Ducati Partner. The Final Edition pays homage to an engine that has made Ducati history and some of the most exciting chapters of the Superbike World Championship. Therefore, only 1,299 R Final Edition (limited and numbered edition) were produced. Each motorcycle comes with a certificate of authenticity.
As an offshoot of the 1299 Superleggera engine, the Final Edition Superquadro delivers the punch of 209 hp at 11,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 142 Nm at 9,000 rpm. It has a lighter crankshaft with larger lifting pins and balancing weights made of tungsten, its connecting rods are made of titanium like the inlet and outlet valves. As with the Superbike racing engines, the two pistons, which are 116 mm in diameter, come with two piston rings instead of the usual three piston rings and run in steel cylinder bushings.
The monocoque structure developed by Ducati Corse integrates the air filter box and, according to Ducati, helps to reduce the dry weight of the 1299 Panigale R Final Edition to 179 kg. On the chassis side, the special model takes over the configuration of the Panigale R with mechanically adjustable Öhlins spring elements and a steering head angle of 24°. The complete titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic with a super-mounted double silencer (Euro 4 compliant) is also light, just like the Panigale R, which was used in the World Superbike Championship.
The electronics package features a sensor sensor (Inertial Measurement Unit "IMU") from Bosch and offers a curve ABS, the Ducati Wheelie Control EVO (DWC EVO), Ducati Traction Control EVO (DTC EVO) and the Brake Engine Engine Control (EBC). All these systems offer preset control levels for the chosen Riding Mode (Race, Sport and Wet), which can also be customized and saved.
Price of exclusivity: around 40,000 euros.
