The 2025 edition of the Africa Eco Race is history. Jacopo Cerutti and the Aprilia Tuareg Racing team took the lead in a thrilling race that was open until the final special stage. This second consecutive title is the icing on the cake of an unforgettable edition of this race, which ended with the final parade on the shores of Lac Rose.
The sixteenth edition of the Africa Eco Race covered almost 6,000 km through the breathtaking landscapes of Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal. It was a gruelling track that put riders and bikes to the test and confirmed the high level of the Aprilia Tuareg Rally. The final stage took the participants to the shores of the legendary Lac Rose, marking the triumphant conclusion of this exceptional 2025 edition.
Jacopo Cerutti tackled the race with the determination and skill of a champion, overcoming incredible challenges: from complex navigation to treacherous terrain, from physical difficulties to technical breakdowns, such as the problems with the mousse of the rear tyre and the failure of the navigation device. Despite all this, Cerutti defended his title until the last kilometre, taking five stage wins and two more podiums, confirming his extraordinary feeling with the Aprilia Tuareg Rally.
Francesco Montanari finished the 2025 edition with a constant improvement, showing exceptional maturity. His first stage win at the Africa Eco Race and a total of three podium finishes seal his outstanding performances and confirm his status as one of the stars of the African rally.
Marco Menichini, who made his debut on the Tuareg, took victory in the junior under 25 class and third place in the multi-cylinder class, adding another trophy to the collection of the Aprilia Tuareg Racing team in the Africa Eco Race. His performance, which culminated in sixth place in the overall standings, is a result that is impressive.
With this second consecutive title and the results achieved by all the riders, the Aprilia Tuareg Rally confirms its status as an absolute reference point in major rally raid races. The symbolic image of this edition was when the rider and machine crossed the finish line at the end of the sixth stage due to a problem with the tyre mousse on the bare rim, demonstrating that this bike is practically unstoppable. Developed in collaboration with GCorse of the Guareschi brothers, the Tuareg Rally has made significant progress in fine-tuning compared to last year, further confirmed by the partnership with Metzeler, once again demonstrating its characteristics of versatility, reliability and high performance in an extreme competition such as the Africa Eco Race.
Special thanks go to Team Guareschi for their tireless efforts and to all our partners who made this dream possible: Metzeler, SC Project, Acerbis, RK Chain, Jet Prime, Alpina, Andreani and CHT Chiaravalli.
