All brands, over 20 German premieres, lots of motorsport, special show ebike-days
From 17 to 19 January, SachsenKrad will be a meeting place for all two-wheelers at Messe Dresden for the 26th time, over 130 exhibitors and all renowned brands will also be present at MESSE DRESDEN in 2020 on 10,000 square metres. The SachsenKrad Dresden presents the highlights of the upcoming season for two-wheelers. The trade fair kicks off the motorcycle year and in Dresden all well-known manufacturers and their dealers as well as more than 20 German premieres. Among other things, the new BMW S 1000 XR celebrates its German premiere at SachsenKrad, as does the BMW F 900 R and XR. Yamaha has 5 German premieres at SachsenKrad and is addressing young people who want to gain experience with the entry-level Naked Bike MT-125. KTM has a travel motorcycle for beginners with the 390 Adventure, as well as the 890 Duke R and the KTM 1290 Super Duke R for the first time. Triumph presents the new Rocket 3, a power roadster in two versions. Kawasaki has the Z 900 as a German premiere. Honda is showing off the radically new Honda Fireblade and the revamped Africa Twin, which is clearly positioned for the 2020 model year. In 2020, SachsenKrad will once again be off-road with its special ENDURO BASE3, giving the Enduro stronghold of Saxony a wintry home for the fifth time.
Motorsport and SachsenKrad have been together from the very beginning. At the ADAC truck you can find information about the Motorcycle Grand Prix at the Sachsenring. Various teams and active players from the Supersport World Championship, the World Endurance Championship and national racing series will once again be available to their fans. Also on the SachsenKrad is local hero Lennox Lehmann, last champion in the ADAC Junior Cup. The whole event will be moderated by motorsport expert Bernd Fulk, who has accompanied SachsenKrad from the very beginning. The exhibition programme also includes 2 stages, the Messekino and the Biker-Gottesdienst on Sunday. In the outdoor area there are Pocketbike demonstrations.
Electric mobility in the two-wheeled sector is on the rise: Europe's two-wheeled markets are booming, according to the Association of European Motorcycle Manufacturers (ACEM), and e-mobility is also booming. Total registrations of electric mopeds, motorcycles and four-wheelers reached 58,295 units in the first nine months of 2019, according to Acem. This represents a significant increase of 61.3 percent compared to the number of admissions in the same period of 2018. The SachsenKrad features the Harley-Davidson LiveWire, the world's first electrically powered motorcycle from a large-scale manufacturer, the Vespa Elettrica – a classic electric scooter, and the KTM SX-E5 2020, a newly developed mini-motocross motorcycle with electric drive that aims to usher in a new era in racing.
The SachsenKrad 2020 will take place from 17 to 19 January at Messe Dresden and will be open on Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The entrance fee is 8 euros. For children and adolescents under 16 years of age, admission is free when accompanied by an adult. For students, students and trainees, the day pass costs only 4 euros.
