Photos: Suzuki Technically state-of-the-art and in three attractive décor variants, the naked bike Suzuki GSX-8S enters the 2025 season. With its purist design and dynamic handling, it appeals to bikers who appreciate the essence of motorcycling.
Introduced for the 2023 season, the Suzuki GSX-8S occupies the position of the characterful naked bike in the current two-cylinder series. Inspired by the design of striking streetfighters, the functional-aesthetic appearance signals the will to perform and uncompromising. The front of the GSX-8S is characterized by the characteristic headlight unit with two hexagonal LED lights arranged on top of each other. Behind the sharply cut lamp mask, a modern 5-inch colour TFT-LCD multifunction instrument provides information on driving data and settings.
At the heart of the GSX-8S is the 776 cm3 in-line engine, which combines excellent drivability at low revs with unbridled revving pleasure in the upper rev range. The patented Suzuki Cross-Balancer with two balancer shafts rotating at a 90-degree angle to the crankshaft eliminates annoying vibrations and contributes to the powerful, cultivated character of the compact DOHC unit. Thanks to the electronic throttle valve system with ride-by-wire, the twin responds precisely to throttle commands in all speed ranges.
The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) bundles a variety of assistance systems that allow riders to get the most out of their GSX-8S. The generous standard equipment includes the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) with three riding modes, the bi-directional Quick-Shift system, the Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS), the Low RPM Assist and the Suzuki Easy Start System. The six-speed gearbox is designed for rapid acceleration. Riders can choose between conventional gear shifts, in which they are supported by the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS), or sporty gear changes with the standard bi-directional Quick-Shifter, which allows rapid shifting without manual clutch operation.
The chassis of the GSX-8S with the compact, torsionally rigid steel frame is designed for maximum manoeuvrability and still offers excellent riding stability even at high speeds or riding with pillion or pillion. High-quality suspension elements from KYB ensure harmonious handling with high steering precision. Lightweight cast wheels in a sporty 10-spoke design contribute to agile handling. The generously dimensioned brake system ensures safe deceleration.
The Suzuki GSX-8S in model year 2025
The 776 cc twin meets the current Euro 5+ emission standard without sacrificing power or torque.
Three new trim variants underline the sporty, minimalist appearance of the GSX-8S in the 2025 model year. The Metallic Mat Black No.2 (4UX) colour variant harks back to the fighter roots of the naked bike, while the Metallic Mat Black No.2 / Metallic Mat Sword Silver (CL9) combination highlights the technical aspect of the machine. The model colour Glass Sparkle Black / Pearl Cosmic Blue (CLB) is timelessly elegant.
The new GSX-8S is now available at a price of 9,400 euros (RRP ex works, plus additional costs) from Suzuki partners.
