Graphic: Motorradtest.de The motorcycle market fell by 10.5 percent in June compared to June 2023. In total, only 13,161 motorcycles (everything except 125cc and scooters) were newly registered. BMW is now back in first place ahead of Honda.
Honda and KTM each sold almost 30 percent fewer motorcycles in June 2024 compared to the previous year. June 2024 went particularly well for only very few manufacturers. Strikingly, the major manufacturers have all lost except Triumph, while the small providers have all gained compared to June 2023. These include Husqvarna, Royal Enfield, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Cf Moto and Beta. Indian is slowly but surely sinking into insignificance: Only 119 machines from this manufacturer could be sold in June 2024.
There are no surprises with the best-selling models. Only the Triumph Scrambler 400 X stands out positively here in 9th place, otherwise everything is as usual. How fitting: We will test the Triumph Scrambler 400 X next Monday, and as always, you can watch the review on YouTube.
