After the presentation of the new Versys 1100 a few days ago, Kawasai is now also presenting its bestseller among sports tourers with a plus in displacement and torque. In addition, the model, which has redefined sporty endurance racing, will be launched in 2025 with numerous other improvements. For the first time, this also includes a specially refined SE version.
The biggest change to the previous model can be found in the heart of the motorcycle, the engine. Kawasaki has increased the displacement from 1,043 cm3 to 1,099 cm3. This provides more torque over the entire speed range. The gear ratio has been adapted to this. The fifth and sixth gears are designed to be longer. In addition, the Quickshifter can now be used from 1,500 rpm.
Riding comfort is one of the most important requirements for a sports tourer. That's why the Ninja 1100SX has a standard USB-C port directly on the handlebars, electronic cruise control, power modes, a curve management system, traction control and an intelligent anti-lock braking system. The rear brake has been revised to further improve the deceleration forces. It is also very pleasing that fuel consumption could be optimised despite more displacement and torque. The latest Bridgestone Battlax S23 tyres are used as standard tyres, which promises even more driving pleasure.
For the first time – compared to the previous model – the Ninja 1100SX is also offered as an SE variant. This top-of-the-range model is equipped with M4.32 brake calipers, brake cylinders and brake discs from Brembo, as well as steel-coated brake hoses. In addition, an elegant Öhlins S46 shock absorber with adjustable rebound damping and spring base (by handwheel) works at the rear. Furthermore, heated grips are standard on board the SE model.
All model variants can be connected to the smartphone via the Rideology app. In this way, individual presettings and evaluations can be made. New for 2025 is the voice control of the app, which improves use even while driving.
Of course, an extensive range of original accessories is also available for the new Ninja 1100SX. One of the highlights in this range is certainly the perfectly integrable pannier set in vehicle colour.
The Ninja 1100SX will be available from Kawasaki dealers in time for the start of the season. The first presentation to the public will take place at INTERMOT in Cologne (5 to 8 December 2024).
