Motorcycle enjoyment on winding country roads, extended tours to distant countries – all this requires driving skills and driving experience. That's why taking part in an ADAC BMW Ride Training course is a worthwhile investment, especially at the start of the new season. Last year alone, more than 2,300 motorcyclists and interested parties completed a BMW Ride driving safety training course powered by ADAC. A number that speaks for itself.BMW Motorrad and ADAC have been cooperating in the field of driving safety training since 2014 and the continuation of this cooperation was recently sealed by Mike Sommer, Head of BMW Motorrad Germany and ADAC Board Member Dr. Dieter Nirschl. For the next three years, BMW Motorrad will provide 149 BMW motorcycles of various model series as well as corresponding clothing, which can be used in 12 ADAC training facilities.
The BMW motorcycles will be used at the following BMW Ride events powered by ADAC:
· BMW RIDE FIRST· BMW RIDE AGAIN· BMW RIDE ADVANCED· BMW R 18 Cruiser Training· BMW RIDE OUTAccording to the motto "Sit up and try it out!", BMW RIDE FIRST is aimed at all interested parties who do not yet have a motorcycle license, but would like to experience the feeling of riding a motorcycle without obligation. At the same time, a selection of current BMW Motorrad models can be ridden. Teaching contents are ergonomics, sitting position and balance exercises, getting on and off as well as pushing, starting the engine and clutch exercises. The highlight is finally the first rides with the motorcycle.
BMW RIDE AGAIN is aimed at returners and motorcyclists who have not ridden for a long time. Basic exercises such as correct sitting, gazing and steering techniques, safe starting and stopping are just as much a part of the training scope of the 4.5-hour driving safety training as regaining and refining the sense of balance, effective braking and evasive techniques. On BMW motorcycles, of course.
BMW RIDE ADVANCED is aimed at advanced motorcyclists who want to take their riding skills to a new level. The focus of this full-day training is the refinement of the sense of balance, correct sitting, looking and steering, refinement of lean angle reserves, exercises on special dynamic surfaces as well as the handling of driver assistance systems and much more.
In addition to these three BMW RIDE driving safety training courses, the BMW R 18 Cruiser Training is also a driving safety training course specially tailored to those interested in the BMW R 18. In this 7.5-hour driving training, all the important content for the safe handling of the BMW R 18 is taught. The conclusion is a two-hour guided ride with the "Big Boxer".
If you would like to set off on a tour right away, you will finally get your money's worth at BMW RIDE OUT.
