Suzuki Night Run 2019 - Photo: Suzuki Motorrad
Suzuki is once again organizing a sprint race spectacle called "Night Run" this year, in which everyone can participate for free. The only question is who can accelerate their machine the fastest.
For the three races in 2019, Suzuki has hired airfields on whose runways the sprints will take place over the eighth mile. The time is measured from 0 to 100 km/h and the total time for 1/8 mile. There are always two drivers competing against each other, of course starting from the stand. The three Night Runs take place in Itzehoe (Schleswig Holstein), Sangerhausen (Thuringia) and Mosbach (Odenwald). Every biker can participate if he meets the following requirements:
... be at least 18 years old
... have a valid motorcycle licence (driving licence class A, A1, A2 or accordingly)
... Drive a road-ready motorcycle with a valid TÜV test badge
... Wear protective equipment for motorcyclists. Drivers in "normal" jeans and sneakers are not allowed to start; Helmet, trousers and jackets with protectors, gloves and boots are mandatory !
... sign a disclaimer before the start of the races, participation only on your own responsibility
... pay attention to their own safety and that of the spectators
So you don't have to call Suzuki your own, all bikes are allowed. Participation is at your own risk and participants are even asked to take the route beforehand. Of course, there is also a supporting programme with music, sausage stall and drinks.
Attention: If you want to participate, you have to register on the Suzuki website 2 weeks before the event. Pre-registration is limited to 50 starting places. Afterwards, only registrations are possible on site. The Motorradtest.de team will be in Itzehoe on 4 May and will of course also take part in the races.
