Ducati: New at EICMA 2018

Ducati presented the new products for 2019 in Milan: nine models – three of them completely new motorcycles, model maintenance and, for the first time, an Enduro e-mountain bike. The three completely new models of Ducati will be: Panigale V4 R, Diavel 1260 and Hypermotard.
This year will also see the first major overhaul of the entire Scrambler series since its introduction, as well as a complete overhaul of the Diavel and Hypermotard, two motorcycles that are among the most popular at Ducatisti.
The first brand new ducati line-up motorcycle for 2019 is the Hypermotard 950, which, according to Ducati, is now sportier, more adrenaline-charged and more driver-friendly. The Ducati Funbike par excellence has been completely redesigned. The new look is based on the racing motorcycles of international Supermoto competitions, in addition to ergonomics and a new chassis setup, the electronics package is upgraded.
The second generation of the Diavel is intended to remain true to the original spirit of this special motorcycle and bring the most important elements up to date. The Diavel gets tighter contours, more power, more comfort and increases driving pleasure on all roads. Your sporty soul is enhanced by the Testastretta DVT 1262 engine, which produces 159 hp (117 kW) at 9,500 rpm and 129 Nm at 7,500 rpm. An improved chassis with a new setup makes the Diavel 1260 more handy and agile on roads of all kinds - at least according to Ducati's information.
Compared to previous R versions, the Panigale V4 R is even more special. The modifications go far beyond the engine and chassis: for the first time, the R version has an Aero Pack developed by Ducati Corse and the Ducati Design Center to improve aerodynamic efficiency on the racetrack. The new cladding features the wings developed for MotoGP prototypes – so-called winglets. These increase stability at high speeds and reduce the intervention of electronic assistance systems. The Desmosedici Stardale 90° V4 engine with 1,103 cm3 gave way to the 998 cm3 Desmosedici Stradale R, which was necessary to meet the displacement control of the WSBK regulations. The result is 221 hp (162 kW) maximum power at 15,250 rpm (EU homologation values) – the peak power is 2,250 rpm higher than the 1,103 cm3 V4. These values can be further increased if the Ducati Performance Racing exhaust is grown by Akrapovic.
