Ducati Scrambler conversion competition launched
Photo: DucatiYou own a Ducati Scrambler and like to screw off? Then comes the right message: Custom Rumble, the biennial Customizing competition for Ducati Scrambler motorcycles, is back. The last edition, whose winning bikes were awarded at World Ducati Week 2018, was attended by 132 international participants in the Dealer, Customer, Customizer and Rookie Rumble categories. The machine shown above in the photo is a final round participant from 2018.
With the aim of creating even more freedom for personal reinterpretations, the categories for this third edition of Custom Rumble will be expanded. In addition to four categories for Scrambler 800 and Sixty2 models, there is one specifically for Scrambler 1100 conversions.
The categories are assigned to the topic area in order to create a lowest common denominator of the custom bikes:
Rocker: Motorcycles inspired by the culture of the legendary café racers of the 1960s, which at that time sparked a revolution in the motorcycle universe.
Cut-down: Motorcycles in Bobber style, reduced to the essentials and freed from anything that is not needed for driving.
All-Terrain: Enduro-style Scrambler, perfect for any terrain and equipped with special off-road elements.
Outsider: for those who do not fit into one of the above categories and want to let their creativity run wild.
Bully: the category dedicated to the Ducati Scrambler 1100, without any restrictions on the style of conversion.
Registration is already open and will close on 30 December 2019. The participating Custom Bikes must be completed and uploaded to the dedicated section on the website Scramblerducati.com by 30 January 2020. Visitors to the website will vote online for their favourite motorcycle until 15 March 2020. The motorcycle with the most votes in its category will be awarded in May 2020 at a special event by a jury of selected experts.
