For the first time in its 100-year history, BMW Motorrad is creating its own world of experience around the brand and its motorcycles for its fans with the BMW Motorrad World.
The location was not chosen by chance, but is located right in the heart of BMW Motorrad's production, on the grounds of the Berlin-Spandau plant – exactly where BMW motorcycles have been built since 1969. At the Juliusturm in Spandau, behind a historic brick façade, lies the production site of BMW motorcycles, and BMW Motorrad Welt will move into an equally historic building, built between 1914 and 1917 and listed as a historical one, when it opens on 28 September 2023.
The BMW Motorrad World: Home of the Brand.
"With BMW Motorrad Welt, we are giving our brand a home right next to our production site in Berlin. The BMW Motorrad World will become our new "Home of the Brand". On an area of around 1,000 square metres, we are creating a comprehensive brand experience that connects BMW Motorrad with its community, the public and employees in a highly emotional, authentic and lively way. With a range of experiences ranging from the interactive presentation of current BMW Motorrad products, exciting factory tours and unique gastronomy to events and external and internal rental options, BMW Motorrad Welt offers a unique and fascinating platform for an emotional get-together around BMW Motorrad," says Dr. Markus Schramm, Head of BMW Motorrad, summarizing the cornerstones of the BMW Motorrad World.
Interactive exhibitions and exciting factory tours.
At the heart of the BMW Motorrad World is the interactive presentation of current BMW Motorrad vehicles, supplemented by special exhibitions – for example on the subject of customizing – as well as selected highlights from the BMW Motorrad Gear & Garment Collection and the Original BMW Motorrad Accessories.
From Monday to Friday, the gates will also open to visitors who want to experience the fascination of vehicle production at BMW Motorrad during the factory tours. On an area of almost 220,000 square meters, more than 2,200 employees produce around 900 vehicles in the sport, tour, roadster, heritage, adventure and urban mobility segments every day. About every 60 seconds, a finished vehicle rolls off the assembly line.
The BMW Group plant in Berlin is one of the most traditional and at the same time most innovative industrial locations in Berlin and the region.
A guided tour of the factory premises and the production halls is not only the perfect opportunity for enthusiastic motorcycle fans to take a look behind the scenes of BMW Motorrad production.
Emotional platform for a wide range of events as well as rental options.
With its spacious and emotive room concept, BMW Motorrad Welt offers unique opportunities for a wide variety of events. Be it conferences, interactive workshops, meetings, closed room events, incentives or celebrations – BMW Motorrad Welt always creates the right, fascinating setting and offers its premises for rent, both internally and externally.
Thrilling live broadcasts or a meet & greet with popular motorcycle VIPs are just as much an integral part of the BMW Motorrad world as mechanic workshops, living room concerts, autograph sessions with well-known artists and the Motorcycle Cinema. And no matter what there is to experience – it will be a unique experience in the BMW Motorrad world.
