APP-ropos APP:
With Touratech Connect, the smartphone becomes a multifunctional display on the motorcycle

Touratech Connect - the APP consists of 2 elements: a hardware component and the smartphone application. The compact hardware is roughly the size of a cigarette box and can be easily connected to the vehicle-specific connector of the motorcycle without any special knowledge - plug and play.
Once installed, the hardware component passively reads a lot of information from the CAN bus and transmits it to the smartphone via Bluetooh. There, the driver can display the following function data on his display:
DRIVE: Gear, speed, motor temperature, opening of the throttle valves, and .m.
LIGHTING: Headlight status, brake light, etc. .m
FAHRWERK: Residual spring travel in real time, and .m.
BREMSEN: Brake force values front, rear, maximum and .m.
SCHALTER AND HEBEL: Querying all switch states
FAHRDYNAMIK: Acceleration, inclination, speed, cornering speed
EXTREME: Drift duration, slide duration, and .m.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS: time measurement (zero to ...), switching operations, breaks, travel time/service life, currently called power, 2 switching flashes (Eco and Race)
The display is clear and easy to read. In addition, the driver can adapt them individually and also operation in the split screen is possible (e.B. Navi and Connect-APP in the same way).
The system is announced for this spring (2019) and will first be offered in a version for BMW's liquid-glue-cooled GS-Boxer (K50/K51). More vehicles are in the pipeline. There are 3 variants, which differ in their range of functions and can be upgraded to the higher version:
