Award-winning design: Honda's two-wheelers once again convinced the jurors at both the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award. For example, the versatile all-rounder NC750X was awarded the renowned Red Dot Design Award. This was awarded to the EM1 e: electric scooter last year, which has now also been awarded the iF Design Award.
The EM1 e: was Honda's first all-electric two-wheeler on the European market when it was launched in 2023. Powered by the replaceable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: battery, it features a simple and sleek design achieved by optimizing the layout of key components. High-brightness LEDs are used for lighting, which offer even more safety when driving at night. The headlight features a simple, flush-mounted design that enhances the iconic look of the EM1 e:.
With the renewed award at the Red Dot Award, Honda has won the design award for the sixth time in a row. The NC750X follows the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP (2020), Forza 750 (2021), ADV350 and NT1100 (2022), the CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp (2023) and the EM1 e: (2024).
Since its launch in 2012, the NC750X has enjoyed great popularity throughout Europe thanks to its pioneering versatility. In addition to a high-torque and economical two-cylinder engine, this is mainly thanks to the unmistakable Adventure styling and a relaxed and comfortable seating position with wide handlebars and comfortable seat.
In the 2025 NC750X, the windshield, parts of the bodywork and other components are made from the biomass-based plastic Durabio™ to minimize the environmental impact in production. The redesign of the current evolutionary stage was led by Honda's Research and Development Centre in Rome.
"We are very pleased to receive the Red Dot Design Award for the NC750X," says project manager Valerio Aiello. "With the 2025 version of the NC750X, we have focused primarily on making it even more robust, cleaner and more dynamic, without losing the original character of the model. What I like most about the NC750X is how it takes inspiration from different types of motorcycles: a little adventure, a little road and all that combined with the practicality of a scooter."
"It is a great honour for us to be awarded the Red Dot Design Award for the sixth year in a row and the iF Design Award this year," said Toshinobu Minami, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at the Design Center of Honda R&D Co., Ltd. "We are convinced that this is because people share our passion for design. We put people first and create designs that enrich our customers' lives through experiences and products. We want to continue to develop products that surprise, inspire and bring joy to people."
