Suzuki Intelligent Riding System (S.I.R.S.) offers a variety of assistance functions

The semi-active chassis and a contemporary package of electronic assistance systems give the premium crossover Suzuki GSX-S1000GX excellent driving characteristics on roads of all categories. With Euro 5+ homologation and a new color variant, the GSX-S1000GX enters its second model year.

Refined four-cylinder in-line engine with large power reserves
Based on the high-performance engine of the legendary GSX-R1000, Suzuki engineers developed the DOHC four-cylinder engine of the GSX-S1000GX. The engine, which complies with the current Euro 5+ emission standard, generates a peak output of 152 hp (112 kW) at 11,000 rpm from a displacement of 999 cubic centimetres. The characteristics of the 106 Newton metre engine are designed for a high level of ride comfort at low and medium revs, without denying its roots in the supersport segment. The bidirectional Quick-Shift system supports riders during rapid gear changes without manual clutch operation. The slipper clutch reduces drag torque when downshifting, thus contributing to safe deceleration even in a sporty driving style. The 4-2-1 exhaust system creates an emotional sound that remains discreetly in the background even on long stages.

Suzuki Intelligent Riding system with a variety of assistance systems
The Suzuki Intelligent Riding System (S.I.R.S.) bundles modern electronic assistance systems, some of which work on the basis of a six-axis IMU depending on the lean angle. The three integrated riding modes of the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector-Alpha (SDMS-α) determine the response and performance characteristics of the four-cylinder engine, as well as the control intensity of the traction control and the setup of the electronic suspension. An innovative safety feature is the Roll Torque Control. Based on the rolling movement (lean angle) and wheel speed data provided by the six-axis IMU, this system, which is closely interlinked with the traction control system, adjusts the power output to prevent the vehicle from slipping away in the corner.

The most important assistance systems of the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX at a glance:

  • Smart TLR Control
Traction control with integrated wheelie and roll-torque control
  • Bidirectional Quick-Shift System
Fast gear changes without manual clutch operation
  • Smart Cruise Control
For relaxed driving at a constant speed on long distances; is not deactivated by pressing the Quick Shifter
  • Motion-Track-Brake-System
Safe braking even in an inclined position
  • Slope Dependent Control System
Prevents the rear wheel from lifting when braking downhill
  • Suzuki Easy-Start System
Engine start at the touch of a button without clutch operation
  • Low RPM Assist
Smooth starting thanks to automatic speed increase

Intelligent semi-active chassis
The GSX-S1000GX is the first Suzuki motorcycle to be equipped with the Suzuki Advanced Electronic Suspension (SAES) as standard. The interaction of several intelligent technologies ensures outstanding suspension and damping behavior. While the Suzuki Floating Ride Control (SFRC) reacts to changing surfaces, the Suzuki Velocity Dependent Control (SVDC) optimizes the damping setting based on the vehicle's speed. In addition, the Suzuki Deceleration-Damping-Control (SDDC) compensates for pitching movements during braking. In addition to configured modes, drivers have individual tuning options for the electronic suspension at their disposal.

High driving comfort
The Suzuki GSX-S1000GX offers a high level of comfort not only thanks to its semi-active suspension. It allows a relaxed, upright sitting position behind a wide handlebar. The individual seats and vibration-damped footrests, which are specially designed for long distances, are suitable for extended tours – even in pairs. The aerodynamically optimised fairing and the height-adjustable windscreen also contribute to this.

Connectivity for a holistic driving experience
The information and communication centre on board the premium crossover is the 6.5-inch full-colour multi-information display. With the help of the Suzuki mySPIN app, numerous functions of the phone can be used via the on-board instrument. In addition to telephony, contacts, navigation, music, this also includes the calendar.

The Suzuki GSX-S1000GX in the 2025 model year

  • Without sacrificing its powerful performance characteristics, the DOHC four-cylinder in-line engine meets the Euro 5+ emission standard.
  • In addition to the popular Metallic Triton Blue (YSF) and Glass Sparkle Black (YVB) color variants, a Candy Daring Red (YYG) version is available in the 2025 model year.
The new Suzuki GSX-S1000GX is now available from Suzuki dealers at a price of 17,600 EUR (RRP ex works, plus additional costs).
