Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 wins MCN Award again
Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is the "Best Retro Bike of the Year" for the second time
For the second time, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 can pin the title "Best Retro Bike of the Year" to the lapel. After winning the title in 2019, the RE was able to defend this title again this year.
The title is awarded by the British motor newspaper "MCN". COMMENTing on the award, MCN said: "The Interceptor conveys the feel and appeal of traditional motorcycles and there are no competing models that offer a similar mix of the past and the here and now as Royal Enfield."
The motorcycle magazine MCN (Motor Cycle News), based in Peterborough, Uk, has been awarding the awards since the 1960s. Since then, every year, special candidates from the motorcycle industry have been evaluated by a jury of experts – consisting of experienced journalists and motorcyclists – and awarded in categories such as "Best Retro Bike of the Year". "Winning an MCN award is not easy, and every machine that has succeeded has truly met the needs of the market and impressed the often skeptical jury," said a representative of the magazine.
Royal Enfield is delighted with the new award:"We are delighted that we have been awarded this award and in particular that this is the second year in a row. The Interceptor 650 is a great success and a real British-Indian collaboration. As a global brand with a focus on innovation and expansion, we have never lost our special affinity and affection for Europe and are therefore very pleased with the positive response and potential of the brand here."
Congratulations to RE on this beautiful award, which from our point of view is more than deserved. We were also very impressed by this beautiful retro bike during the test of the 650 Interceptor. Dear Royals, keep it up!
