Regent No.1
- Electric retro bike
Photo: Regent Motorcycles Regent Motorcycles is a Swedish motorcycle manufacturer founded in December 2018 by Jonathan Eström. His dream: a motorcycle with the design of the 60's/70's and the latest technology, i.e. pure electric drive.
Now the time has come and Regent announces his first electric motorcycle for May 2020, which consequently also gets the name No.1. Visually, the machine is very reminiscent of Yamaha's SR 500, but technically the two differ enormously. While the SR came with its large-volume, air-cooled single-cylinder Vietakt engine, the No.1 now relies on an environmentally friendly, pure electric drive with the following specifications:
Range: 150 km
Battery: 72V - 80Ah
Power: 11-20 hp
Top speed: 130 km/h
Weight (full fueled ;-): 130 kg
Other features include disc brakes on the front and rear wheels (with ABS), LED lighting in a retro look, cockpit with a large touch display incl. navigation and alarm.
From now on you can pre-order the Regent No.1. The first 100 buyers receive a 10% discount on the basic price of 9,500 euros. So far (6/2019) 78 machines have already been pre-ordered.
