After the devastating flood disaster, POLO Motorrad und Sportswear GmbH organized a fundraising campaign in its German stores. The funds donated by customers and employees were then doubled by the company, so that €44,000 could now be transferred to "Aktion Deutschland Hilft". Motorcyclists of all stripes donated in the POLO stores of the Federal Republic of Germany and POLO employees could also easily submit donations via a specially set up campaign number. The € 21,883.02 collected in this way was quickly doubled and rounded up by the POLO management." As a company from the region, it was all the more important to us to provide uncomplicated and fast help. Many employees are on site and help where they can. When the first requests for support reached us, we didn't have to think long about whether and what we would do," reports Jutta Warmbier, CEO of POLO Motorrad und Sportswear GmbH. "The fact that motorcyclists are helpful and always on hand immediately when others need help is well known in the industry. The fact that such a sum has been raised despite the wide range of possibilities for donation impressively shows how social this environment is, even if it is unfortunately often portrayed differently in the media," Warmbier continues.
