Honda is bringing the legendary Monkey back to the market for just under 4,000 euros. New is the upside-down telefork, ABS and a 125cc engine with almost 10 hp. The Honda Monkey was originally designed for a Japanese theme park for children. But the fun device was so well received by the adults that they decided to produce series at the end of the 1960s. In 1967, the Honda Monkey had a single-cylinder four-stroke engine with 49 cc.
The new Honda Monkey is available in the colors "Banana Yellow", "Pearl Nebula Red" and "Pearl Shining Black", so less flowery said in yellow, red and black. The torque of the air-cooled single cylinder is 11 Nm and the top speed is 90 km/h. The Monkey remains a fun device for the city, which can be moved with 1.5 to 2.5 liters of consumption per 100 km correspondingly consumption-friendly. The machine weighs 107 kg and can only be driven by one person - and he sits like a "monkey on the grinding stone", from which the name formation derives. Honda proves with the light motorcycles MSX125, Super Cup 125 and just the Monkey courage to fill the gap: No other manufacturer has such funny bikes on offer.
