Wonderfully integrated frame cladding for the BMW R 1250 GS/R 1200 GS LC protects crew and machine - also fits the adventure variants
The lattice tube frame of the R 1250 GS and the R 1200 GS LC as well as those of the Adventure variants characterize scoundues the characteristic side view of the large GS in addition to the unmistakable ShiftCam boxer. The triangular segment below the driver's seat allows an unobstructed view of the rear wheel, swing arm bearing and strut. However, in the case of rain or on unpaved terrain, the disadvantage of the open frame structure is revealed. Splashing water, road dirt, spray and stones swirled up in the terrain reach the legs of the crew unhindered. In addition to the uncomfortable soaking of the clothes, the machine itself is naturally soiled. Also annoying.
The frame claddings designed by the Wunderlich developers have two effects: they protect the crew and the machine effectively and reliably. The two trim halves close the lateral openings of the frame rear to the right and left. Swirled dirt, rockfall, splashing water or spray are effectively collected or discharged before they reach the driver or passenger. The contamination of the machine is visibly reduced.
The high-quality PP plastic used is generously dimensioned with 3 mm component thickness, the shape provides additional stability and component stiffness. The material is coloured in black. The assembly and disassembly are very simple.
The dynamic design due to the throats has a high recognition value, remains discreet and looks unobtrusive and coherent on the motorcycle.
Wunderlich gives a 5-year warranty on the helpful cladding set and offers it for the price of 116.88 €.
Especially for the R 1250 GS, the R 1200 GS LC and the Adventure variants, Wunderlich has developed a carefully coordinated range of protective components for feet and legs.
