BMW has concluded a licensing agreement with the e-scooter manufacturer Govecs for the production of the C1. Govecs is now allowed to develop an electro-powered scooter with the safety cell known from the C1. This creates an electric scooter with a roof for the city, which can be driven without a helmet. The new C1 will have a belt as before. Govecs will be a 50's and 125-class scooter, which is scheduled to premiere in 2021. Prices for the new vehicle are not yet known.
