The new sports tourer with a new engine.

Kawasaki has tinkered with the new Ninja 1100 SX. In addition to a new engine, there are also a lot of technical updates, but they have not changed the basic character of this sports tourer. Ole and Dietmar took the new Ninja 1100 SX for a spin in the noble SE variant with the "Performance Pack".
Ninja sport for touring riders
The new Ninja 1100 SX is available in two variants (Standard and SE) and with four equipment packages: Standard, Performance, Tourer and Tourer Performance. The Performance has a seat cover, an Akrapovic rear silencer, crash and tank pads as well as a screen protector. The Tourer version comes with two 28 litre panniers including inner pockets, a larger window, an SP-Connect mobile phone holder and an additional 12 volt socket. The Standard SE costs 17,045 euros (all prices including transfer), as a Performance it costs 18,745 euros, as a Tourer 18,345 euros and as a Performance Tourer 19,795 euros.
Hardly changed design and still surprisingly flat front for a sports tourer. Sporty, sporty!
Differences between the Ninja 1100 SX and the Ninja 1100 SX SE The differences between the SE version we tested and the "non-SE" are quickly enumerated. SE owners will be happy about an Öhlins S46 shock absorber, heated grips and excellent Brembo M4.32 brakes at the front including steel-braided cables. However, the fun costs a hefty 2,150 euros extra. In our opinion, you can do without this - but only if you can live with the gray paintwork, because only the SE is available in beautiful Kawa green.
Colour selection of SE: Green-Black or Grey-Red. Easy exercise: A Kawa must be green!
Dimensions and seat test
The Ninja looks sleek, but still offers surprisingly good seating comfort. You sit almost upright and the handlebars are mounted pleasantly high. The seat height is 835 mm, which results in a moderate knee angle. The windshield (it's actually called THE windscreen) can be adjusted by hand in the inclination at three angles and works well. However, the machine weighs 234 kilograms and is therefore not necessarily easy to manoeuvre.
Our test bike with the performance package and the pillion seat cover didn't allow for a pillion check, but we just suspect that it should be okay. In any case, the space in the back looks quite generous and decent grab handles are also on board. The passenger looks over the driver's head and thus has a good view. The driver also has plenty of space and a comfortable knee closure. So it can certainly be endured well even on longer tours for two.
That's what it's like to sit on the Ninja 1100 SX.

It should be able to do that
