Let's be honest: the magnificent mountains of the Alps and the sound of high-revving combustion engines don't really go together. All motorcycle enthusiasts who want to try out what a special experience an almost silent ride on an electric motorcycle can be, are in the right place at the Testride Days of Zero Motorcycles. And who knows, with a bit of luck you might even hear the famous marmots whistling on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road!
The linchpin of the Zero Testride Days 2024 is the well-known "MoHo" motorcycle hotel "Eva Marie" in A-5090 Lofer (Salzburger Land). There is not only a first-class all-round service for bike tourists, but also – how could it be otherwise – a large PV system that supplies the hotel and the Zero motorcycles of the test ride with "green" electricity.
The special offer of the Zero Testride Days runs from 08 - 20 May 2024 and includes - in addition to a Zero DSR/X or SR/F for one day and the toll for the Grossglockner High Alpine Road - also three nights in a double room including half board and garage beer as a welcome. The price for the whole package is 425 euros (excl. local tax) per person in a double room or 485 euros (excl. local tax) in a double room for single occupancy. In addition, the "Saalachtal Card" and all services of the MoHo hotels are included. Further information can be found under https://www.eva-marie.at/de/zimmerpreise/urlaubsangebote-sommer.
The motto "Quiet with electric power through the Alps" says it all in Austria: All fans of electric two-wheelers benefit from a generous subsidy for the purchase of a new "electric bike". Depending on the performance, the range ranges from 1,700 to 2,300 euros. In addition, some toll roads – such as the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and the Nockalm Road – grant a price bonus for e-vehicles. Last but not least, modern fast-charging stations are also being set up on more and more popular motorcycle routes – such as the Timmelsjoch – which extend the touring fun in a short time.
All those who would like to try out the special riding experience with a Zero outside of the test ride offer should stop by the Arge2Rad test day on 22.06.2024 in Marchtrenk. Here, too, the bikes of the world market leader for electric motorcycles can be test-driven. For more information, please visit:
