After three years of successful market presence, Suzuki is sending the GSX-S1000 naked bike into the 2025 model year with attractive technology updates. Three new colour variants are also being introduced.
Suzuki presented the GSX-S1000 (type WEK0) to the public for the first time in 2021. Since then, the naked bike has combined modern streetfighter design with a four-cylinder in-line engine that generates 152 horsepower (112 kW) from a displacement of 999 cubic centimeters. Both the top performance and the superior characteristics of the engine contribute to the fascination of the GSX-S1000. Thanks to carefully selected cam profiles, the engine, derived from the GSX-R1000 super sports car, provides ample torque even at low and medium revs. The injection system with extra-long 10-hole nozzles ensures efficient combustion and maximum power output. The powerful engine characteristics are supported by the combination of a high-throughput airbox and a highly efficient 4-2-1 exhaust system.
As a pioneer in this field, Suzuki also equips the GSX-S1000 naked bike with an aluminum frame. The lightweight and high-strength double-loop construction, which connects the steering head to the swingarm bearing in a straight line, offers an excellent synthesis of safe straight-line stability at high speeds and playful handling. An important contribution to the agility of the GSX-S1000 is made by the carefully tuned suspension elements and the lightweight cast aluminium wheels in a sporty six-spoke design, on which model-specific Dunlop Roadsport 2 radial tyres are mounted.
Precise deceleration even in dynamic driving style is ensured by the braking system with Brembo monobloc calipers and floating 310-millimetre double discs on the front wheel. Sporty riders are supported by the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS), which effectively reduces the engine's braking torque during rapid downshifts and thus prevents the rear wheel from stamping. In extreme situations, the ABS intervenes to regulate the situation.
The shape of the single seat with its non-slip cover material offers riders both enough freedom of movement for sporty turns and the necessary comfort for longer distances.
Extensive innovations in the 2025 model year
The new 5-inch TFT-LCD colour multifunction display, which is already successfully used in the GSX-S1000GX and GSX-S1000GT models, provides the driver with comprehensive information in all lighting conditions. Thanks to its advanced technology, the display remains easy to read even in direct sunlight or darkness, which contributes to increased safety and ease of use.
The tapered aluminium handlebar of the current model has a grip width that is 23 millimetres wider than that of the previous model. This new handlebar shape is slightly offset upwards, which shifts the position of the hands both upwards and closer to the riders. This adjustment allows for a more flexible and ergonomic riding position, which significantly increases comfort on longer distances.
The powerful four-cylinder engine of the latest generation has been further optimised to burn even cleaner. It now meets the requirements of the Euro 5+ standard, which leads to a significant reduction in emissions without sacrificing performance or driving pleasure. In this way, the model combines environmental friendliness with the typical dynamic performance.
The 2025 model year is presented in three stylish and attractive colour variants: Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Mat Sword Silver and Glass Sparkle Black.
The new GSX-S1000 is now available from Suzuki dealers at a price of 13,400.00 euros (RRP ex works, plus additional costs).
