Tire pressure control system

Motorcyclists know the situation: In the favorite bend or a serpentine on the big tour, the tire suddenly sags away and the line becomes adventurous for a short time. The research into the causes usually results in a dramatically lower tyre air pressure. The cause is often a creeping flat foot or – unfortunately, much more often – the longer-ago tyre pressure test.

Against these unwelcome situations, Michelin now offers its own tyre pressure control system for retrofitting. Instead of the valve caps, pressure sensors are mounted by hand, which connect to a freely placeable receiver module via radio. The Michelin TPMS does not need to be calibrated, displays the tyre air pressure with a tolerance of 0.1 bar and warns in different alarm styles during operation in case of pressure losses – at 15 and 25 percent pressure loss. Overheating of the tires or overpressures – more than 35 percent – is also registered by the sensors and displayed via the receiver module.

Counter nuts, which are fastened with the enclosed special key, are used as optional anti-theft protection for the sensors. The display holder can be placed freely in the driver's viewing area and the display is held in the shell by means of a strong magnet. The Michelin TPMs is enclose in an inductive charging tray for charging the display module. The Michelin TPMS is now available from Polo Motorrad and costs 129.99 euros.
