The new BMW F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure and F 800 GS: The new premium mid-range travel enduros for purist driving pleasure thanks to even more sophisticated off-road, touring and adventure skills.
With the new F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure and F 800 GS, BMW Motorrad is significantly sharpening its range of travel enduros for the mid-size class. While the new BMW F 800 GS is a convincing partner, especially for beginners, the BMW F 900 GS Adventure inspires on extended adventure trips and on long, demanding tours. All three models have been heavily revised and, in addition to a new drive, now also offer even more extensive standard equipment. The F 900 GS is characterised by far more far-reaching innovations. A significantly wider range of applications with greatly developed off-road qualities and a drastic reduction in weight of 14 kg compared to the predecessor model make it a decidedly sporty representative of the new GS models of the F series.
Drive with advanced two-cylinder in-line engine with more displacement, power and engine drag torque control.
In the new F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure and F 800 GS, a further development of the two-cylinder in-line engine introduced in 2018 with the F 850 GS ensures enhanced driving dynamics. The main reason for this is an increase in displacement to 895 cm3 (previously 853 cm3). With an ignition distance of 270/450 degrees, the engine offers a particularly emotional sound. In the F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure, he performs
77 kW (105 hp) and 64 kW (87 hp) are available in the F 800 GS. In addition to a significantly increased peak output of 10 hp each, the new engines are also particularly impressive due to a significantly fuller torque curve, increased pulling power and acceleration.
Two driving modes, ABS Pro and DTC as standard. Pro riding modes with additional riding modes, driving mode preselection, MSR and DBC as optional extras ex works.
The new GS models of the F series already offer the two riding modes "Rain" and "Road" as standard. The standard equipment also includes Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), corner-optimised ABS Pro and dynamic brake lights. The dynamic talents of the new F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure and F 800 GS can be discovered even more intensively thanks to additional driving modes, the driving mode preselection and the MSR engine drag torque control as well as the Dynamic Brake Control DBC.
BMW F 900 GS with new, significantly lighter plastic tank and rear section. New, fully adjustable upside-down telescopic fork on the F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure.
On the chassis side, the new F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure and F 800 GS rely on a bridge frame made of deep-drawn and welded sheet steel parts, which integrates the two-cylinder in-line engine as a load-bearing element. The 14.5-litre plastic tank of the new F 900 GS is a completely new development with a weight saving of 4.5 kg compared to the steel tank of the previous model. For an even more dynamic appearance and a weight saving of around 2.4 kg, the F 900 GS has a completely redesigned rear section. A rear silencer from Akrapovič also contributes to a further weight saving of 1.7 kg. The front wheel guidance is on the F 900 GS and

New Enduro Pro package for the new F 900 GS and Dynamic ESA for the new F 900 GS Adventure and the F 800 GS as optional extras ex works.
As a new ex-factory option, the new F 900 GS can be given even more off-road expertise with the Enduro Pro package with fully adjustable, titanium nitride-coated upside-down telescopic fork, fully adjustable central shock absorber as well as handlebar riser and M Endurance chain. For the new F 900 GS Adventure and the
The F 800 GS is available with the Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) electronic suspension as an optional extra.
New BMW F 900 GS with ergonomics optimised for off-road use, enduro footrests and aluminium kickstand. Optimised adjustable gear lever and, on the F 900 GS, also a new foot brake lever.
The new F 900 GS meets its demand for increased off-road expertise with an ergonomic triangle (handlebars – seat – footrests) optimised for off-road use. Lower footrests, in conjunction with the higher handlebar position and the new design of the tank, provide significant advantages, especially when riding standing on rough terrain.
All three new models already offer adjustable gear levers as standard. Thanks to an optimized bearing and a new gear lever kinematics, an even better shiftability of the six-speed gearbox could be achieved. The new F 900 GS also features a new, higher foot brake lever.
New LED headlight on the BMW F 900 GS. All models with powerful LED lighting units.
Compared to the previous model, the LED headlights of the new BMW F 900 GS offer a wider opening angle with low beam and thus better illumination directly in front of the motorcycle. The new F 900 GS Adventure and F 800 GS also have LED headlights as standard. Furthermore, the turn signals and indicator lights of all three models are also based on LED technology.
Connectivity - unrivalled information and functionality in the form of a large, perfectly readable 6.5-inch TFT display. New BMW F 900 GS with multifunction holder as standard for holding navigation devices, action cams and more.
The new GS models of the F series already have a large 6.5-inch TFT display as standard. This applies in particular to the F 800 GS, which previously had an analogue display instrument. The variety of information, display quality and, last but not least, user-friendliness are unmatched. It can also be used to make comfortable phone calls, listen to music and navigate while driving. The new BMW F 900 GS is already equipped with a 12 mm holder as standard, which allows the recording of an action cam or other devices. To accommodate the BMW Motorrad Connected Ride Navigator or the BMW Motorrad Connected Ride Cradle, the "Preparation for Navigation" option is also required.
BMW F 900 GS with new body features and a clear design language and colour scheme in terms of off-road expertise, sportiness and dynamism.
The new BMW F 900 GS has been completely redesigned and benefits from an even more dynamic, enduro-typical design language that signals sharpened off-road competence and sportiness and also visually reflects the 14 kg weight saving compared to the previous model. One of the key points of the new design language is the redesigned plastic tank, which enabled a much slimmer design with a capacity of only 0.5 litres smaller than the previous model. New, close-fitting fuel tank side panels, in conjunction with a new radiator grille, also give the new F 900 GS a sleek, sporty and off-road-oriented figure. The design's claim to off-road competence, sportiness and dynamism is also reflected in the entire rear end, which is significantly narrower and more dynamic than the previous model.
