Minus 15 percent newly registered motorcycles compared to the previous year - rummmms! The motorcycle market is weakening, the negative trend of recent months continues. However, when assessing the figures, it must be noted that 2021 was a pretty good year.

There is currently a lot of movement in terms of market shares. Kawasaki and Honda are weakening, KTM, Yamaha and Harley Davidson can maintain their previous month's figures and overtake them in terms of market share. BMW is still the undisputed top dog in Germany, but the gap is steadily narrowing. A total of 7,369 motorcycles were sold in September. In September 2021, there were still 8,662 bikes. In the case of the 125cc and scooters, it looks exactly the opposite: Here 5.6 percent more vehicles were sold. In the top 50, the Suzuki SV 650 can maintain its third place. KTM occupies positions 9 to 12 and Yamaha is happy about three machines in the top 10.
