New Motorcycle Registrations May 2024

 

Honda will have 2,633 newly registered motorcycles in May 2024 (all without 125cc and scooters). This corresponds to a market share of 17.85%. BMW lands in 2nd place with 16.76% market share, followed by Kawasaki and Yamaha.

 

However, in the 2024 year as a whole, January to May, BMW is still well ahead of Honda. The biggest loser in this period was Royal Enfield with minus 30%, the strongest winners are CF-Moto (+246%) and Benelli (+39%) - but still at a low level.

 

In terms of best-selling bikes in May 2024, Honda can place the two new e-clutch models CBR 650 R and CB 650 R in the top 10. Otherwise, there are hardly any surprises in this statistic. Triumph is happy about the success of the Scrambler 400 X and Harley sells a surprising number of street bobs. As always, the BMW R 1300 GS stands above all and many R 1250 GS are still being sold.
