Photo: Suzuki the latest model year of Suzuki's popular naked bike GSX-S125 is characterized by some updates. In addition to Euro 5 homologation, new colours and fresh decors are added. The engine is shared by the sportily styled naked bike Suzuki GSX-S125 with the supersport sister GSX-R125.
Powerful DOHC four-valve engine The liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine has four valves controlled by two overhead camshafts. The injection system is equipped with a four-hole nozzle that injects the fuel directly into the two intake channels. Maximum fuel efficiency and maximum power output are the result. The powerful power delivery while at the same time complying with the current Euro 5 emission standard is also accommodated by the voluminous airbox and the high-performance exhaust system with integrated catalytic converter.
The SCEM coating (Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material) of the cylinder guarantees low friction losses and maximum stability. Lightweight pistons with narrow rings, in conjunction with the flow-optimized, 32-millimetre throttle bodies, contribute to the revving pleasure of the spontaneously responsive four-valve engine.
Agile handling on country roads and in the city The handling of the new Suzuki GSX-S125 is as agile as the power delivery. This light-footedness ensures maximum fun on sporty trips on the country road as well as it makes driving through the city a pure pleasure. A steering head angle of 40 degrees and a short wheelbase of 1300 millimetres predestine the GSX-S125 as a cornering robber. The solidly dimensioned brake system ensures safe deceleration at all times. On the front wheel, a 290 millimetre disc works together with a two-piston caliper, the rear wheel is braked by a 187 disc with single-piston caliper. In critical situations, the ABS 10 base unit from Bosch intervenes to regulate the situation. Elegant ten-spoke wheels underline the overall concept.
High-quality overall concept The GSX-S125 convinces with an outstanding standard equipment range. These include the vertically arranged front headlights in LED design as well as the side-mounted position lights, the Suzuki Easy-Start system and the ignition lock lock. At a high level also the dashboard of the sporty naked bike. A central, easy-to-read LCD instrument is flanked by light-emitting diodes for important function and warning messages.
New colours, fresh décor The three new colour variants Metallic Triton Blue / Titan Black, Titan Black and Pearl Brilliant White / Titan Black, each of which is supplemented by new decors, are perfectly matched to the basic dynamic concept.
Availability and price The new Suzuki GSX-S125 will be available at dealerships in Germany from early summer 2022. The RRP of Suzuki Deutschland GmbH is 4,300 euros, plus transfer and ancillary costs.
