with the Limited Edition of the Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse inspired by Old No. 7®
Indian Motorcycle, America's First Motorcycle Company®, and Jack Daniel's, America's first registered whisky distillery, have once again teamed up to celebrate American craftsmanship with the 2023 Jack Daniel's®® Limited Edition Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse. The seventh model in limited edition of the two American cult brands, developed in collaboration with Klock Werkssm Kustom Cycles, is inspired by Jack Daniel's® legendary Old No. 7® Tennessee whiskey.
Indian Motorcycle will produce only 177 examples for worldwide distribution. They are painted by hand and extremely exclusive. The Jack Daniel's® Limited Edition Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse builds on the mechanical style of the Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse, which focuses on the tubular steel frame and powerful Thunderstroke 116 engine. It has numerous finest details that make the motorcycle truly unique. The motorcycle's defining feature is the Jack Daniel's branding, and for the first time ever, genuine Jack Daniel's® Old No. 7® whiskey is blended directly into the motorcycle's Super Graphite metallic livery.
"The Jack Daniel's® Limited Edition Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse is another powerful and dynamic example of the quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail that are central to our two brands," said Aaron Jax, Vice President of Indian Motorcycle. "This time we decided to pay homage to the iconic Old No. 7® from Jack Daniel's – the most iconic of all Jack Daniel's®® whiskeys – and combine it with the Chief Bobber Dark Horse. Both products are timeless American originals that offer a combination of no-nonsense simplicity and premium quality."
With aggressiveness and legendary power, the 2023 Jack Daniel's® Limited Edition Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse features several design elements that make this motorcycle truly exclusive. The Jack Daniel's branding can be found throughout the motorcycle, including the front and rear mudguards, on the solo seat and on a Montana Silversmiths badge with each motorcycle's®® unique serial number. For ultimate exclusivity, Jack Daniel's® lettering is etched on the rear mudguard and exhaust. The 2023 Jack Daniel's® Limited Edition Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse features a tank with a single Indian Motorcycle lettering "I" on both sides. The Thunderstroke 116 engine features raw, highlighted cylinders and cylinder heads, as well as Cloud Silver painted rocker arms and ram tubes, giving it a retro style that gives it a raw metal look.Other features of the Limited Edition motorcycle include white centre rims, a solo seat, a tinted flared Klock factory deflector, three riding modes and a 4-inch touchscreen with RIDE COMMAND, Bluetooth®, turn-by-turn navigation* and more.
"At Jack Daniel's® we live by the motto: "We make the most of every day. Indian Motorcycle shares this philosophy, which is why this partnership is such a success," said Greg Luehrs, Director of Sponsorships and Partnerships at Jack Daniel's®. "The idea that a handshake agreement has resulted in incredible limited edition motorcycles for seven years is truly astounding, and it's only fitting to honor Jack's proven Old No. 7 with this seventh joint offering."
For Jack Daniel's® and Indian Motorcycle, craftsmanship is all about the essentials. And no two products embody these fundamentals better than Old No. 7® and the Indian Chief. For the Indian Chief, the basic element is the frame. When developing this bike, it was important to find the right track width and maintain a simple, mechanical design. The no-frills design of the Chief is a modern tribute to the glory days of American motorcycling with the iconic V-Twin style, combined with modern performance and driving dynamics technology. For Old No. 7, the basic element of cave spring water from Lynchburg, TN – clean, pure, fresh and constantly cooled to 13°C – is the lifeblood of Jack Daniel's® Tennessee whiskey.
