Harley-Davidson Introduces New Pan America 1250 and Pan America 1250 Special Models
For adventures on and beyond paved roads
The Harley-Davidson Pan America is the right bike for explorers who like to take a detour – on the road and off-road. The robust, strong and technologically advanced machine quickly conquers the confidence of the driver and awakens his sense of adventure wherever his path takes him.
Harley-Davidson offers the new adventure touring bike in the Pan America 1250 and Pan America 1250 Special versions. Together, they have impressive features, outstanding performance and innovative technology.
"Since the company's inception more than a century ago, when many roads were little more than dirt roads, Harley-Davidson stands for adventure. That's why I'm very proud to present Pan America as the first American adventure touring bike," said Jochen Zeitz, Chairman, President and CEO of Harley-Davidson. "The Pan-America models exude this go-anywhere idea, which is now shared by drivers in the US and around the globe. They want to experience the world on a motorcycle." The same spirit of adventure inspired actor Jason Momoa to represent the spirit of Pan America as Harley-Davidson's brand ambassador.
The Pan America 1250 and Pan America 1250 Special models are powered by the new 112 kW (152 hp) Revolution Max 1250, a 1,250 cc liquid V-Twin that delivers powerful power up to the highest speeds. In order to reduce the total weight of the motorcycle (empty weight incl. supplies: Pan America 1250: 245 kg, Pan America 1250 Special: 258 kg), the Revolution Max 1250 also serves as a supporting element of the chassis.
The Pan America models are equipped with a variety of innovative technologies that provide a more immersive driving experience and greater safety. This includes various selectable driving modes and the cornering rider safety enhancements electronic assistance system package. The latter adjusts the acceleration and deceleration forces to the available tyre adhesion. The Pan America 1250 Special is equipped with an electronically adjustable semi-active chassis. For the first time, the Adaptive Ride Height (ARH) is optionally used for this machine. This revolutionary system automatically lowers the chassis while standing and lifts it up when the ride is started.
Throughout the development process of the new Pan America models, the Harley-Davidson design and engineering teams kept an eye on the practical usability of the machines. From handles to integrated luggage mounts to a horizontally arranged headlight that perfectly illuminates an off-road trail, the function defines the shape. Inspired by the spirit of the rugged North American off-road vehicles, the Pan America 1250 and Pan America 1250 Special models look visually different from other adventure touring motorcycles with a design that reflects their capabilities.
Harley-Davidson dealers offer a complete range of accessories for the Pan America 1250 and Pan America 1250 Special models, including three robust luggage systems and new motorcycle clothing for men and women, the Harley-Davidson in collaboration with the renowned European motorcycle clothing specialist REV'IT! has developed.
The Pan America models are expected to be available from European dealers in June 2021.
