The new Streetfighter V4 is the most beautiful, fastest and most advanced Ducati superbike ever, with the fairing removed and a high and wide handlebar mounted. The low weight of only 189 kg, the 214 hp Desmosedici Stradale engine, the double-decker winglets and the unique electronics package merge into a unique motorcycle.
The derivation from the Panigale V4 is more uncompromising than ever before: The engine is of the same configuration – the difference of two hp is due to differences in the intake – and dThe same applies to the chassis and the electronic features . For the first time, Ducati has chosen to transfer the technology and performance of the Panigale V4 to a naked bike without compromise. A motorcycle has been created that combines the best of both worlds: handling on the track like a superbike and riding fun on the road like a real naked bike.
The impressive Power-to-weight ratio of 1.13 hp/kg, obtained by a lighter and more powerful engine (+6 hp) with Euro5+ homologation, combined with Highlights in the areas of electronics and suspension, such as the DVO, the Öhlins Smart EC3.0 suspension and the new Race eCBS braking system, make the Streetfighter V4 even more effective on the race track.
At the same time, it guarantees great driving pleasure on the road and maximum comfort in everyday life, thanks to the Extended calibration range of the chassis. The Rider gets a better ride feel and more riding comfort, as well as a more muffled exhaust sound, which still gives the bike a great character.
Desmosedici Stradale engine The V4 engine of the Streetfighter is derived from that of the Panigale and is even more similar to it than was the case with the previous model. The Desmosedici Stradale engine is closely related to the engine of Ducati's MotoGP motorcycles, with which it shares numerous technical solutions, starting with the architecture. It is a 90° V4 with Desmodromic valve timing, counter-rotating crankshaft and Twin Pulse firing sequence, giving the Streetfighter V4 a sound very similar to that of the Desmosedici GP.
The control diagram of the Desmosedici Stradale of the new Streetfighter V4 has been revised compared to the previous model and equipped with cams that have an optimized profile and a larger stroke. The alternator and oil pump are identical to those of the Panigale V4 R, while the transmission drum is the same as that of the Superleggera V4. And for the first time, the Streetfighter V4 also features variable length intake funnels, with a value of 25 mm in the short configuration and 80 mm in the long one, increasing maximum power and drivability at the same time.
The Desmosedici Stradale engine, approved according to the Euro5+ emission standard, delivers 214 hp at 13,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 120 Nm at 11,250 rpm . These values can be further increased with the Racing configuration: by using the racing complete system from Ducati Performance by Akrapovič, the maximum power increases to 226 hp. Never before has a Streetfighter V4 been so powerful.
Design The design of the new Streetfighter V4 preserves the unmistakable Streetfighter DNA and character of the Panigale, only without the fairing. With more balanced proportions and a more even balance between the front and rear, it creates lines that are forward-facing, making the bike look like it's catapulting itself into the next corner. An all-new full-LED headlight highlights the aggressive face of the new Streetfighter while retaining its iconic light signature. At the rear, the full-LED taillight is functionally divided into two parts, creating the double C that characterizes all sporty Ducatis.
The 16-litre tank, which is particularly narrow and characterised by a very pronounced shoulder, is reflected in the greater presence of the rear, which is longer towards the rear, with a shorter licence plate holder and a lower pillion seat than on the Streetfighter V4 from the 2024 model year. Both components have been designed to combine style and functionality, improving ergonomics for sporty riding.
Finally, the forward-leaning biplane winglets, a characteristic element of the Streetfighter V4 since the first version, could not be missing. Compared to the previous model, they are more effective (+17 kg of downforce at 270 km/h) and more refined and sophisticated integrated into the line. Thanks to the wings, a very agile motorcycle has been created that feels stable and precise at high speeds. The exhaust mounted under the engine preserves the stylistic impression of Ducati sports motorcycles, keeping the centre of gravity low and revealing the new Hollow Symmetrical Swing Arm, which also looks lighter thanks to the large recesses on both sides.
Ergonomics The seating position of the new Streetfighter V4 is derived from the new Panigale V4 and has been defined with the aim of improving control of the vehicle while increasing driving comfort, especially for taller drivers. The seat/tank unit offers more freedom of movement in the longitudinal direction thanks to the increased space available and makes it easier to adopt and maintain the aerodynamic position. A deep recess in the upper part of the tank for the helmet's chin guard allows the rider to make himself particularly streamlined on the straights.
At the same time, the rider can more effectively support themselves at the rear of the tank, which, in combination with the side pads and the shape of the seat, provides better support when braking, entering corners and cornering. The rider can anchor himself more easily with his knees, which allows for less fatigue when decelerating and hanging off in the corners. The strain on the arms is significantly reduced by the new ergonomics.
Compared to the previous model, the offset of the handlebars has been moved 10 mm backwards and thus closer to the rider. The footpegs are lower and further forward and are also positioned 10 mm further inwards. This increases comfort for the driver without compromising ground clearance. Finally, the two fans located in the side panels direct hot air away from the driver's legs, improving thermal comfort.
MotoGP-derived suspension The Streetfighter V4 has never been so similar to the Panigale V4. Thanks to the very stable chassis of the new superbike from Borgo Panigale, it was not necessary to extend the swingarm on this model to give the bike extra stability. A small adjustment of the geometry (+0.5° head angle, +1 mm caster) was enough to obtain the perfect synthesis between agility and stability.
The chassis of the Streetfighter V4, which was derived directly from the new Panigale, is completely new. The Front Frame is lighter (3.47 kg in weight compared to 4.42 kg in the predecessor) and has a lower stiffness compared to the previous model (-39% in the lateral direction). This provides more confidence in lean angles, enables higher cornering speeds and makes it easier to maintain the selected line.
In addition, the new Ducati Hollow Symmetrical swing arm improves traction on corner exit and thus acceleration. Lateral stiffness has been reduced (-43% compared to the single-sided swingarm of the previous model). The assembly consisting of swingarm and linkage is 2.9 kg lighter overall than in the previous model. The forged rims of the Streetfighter V4 S with five tangential spokes, inspired by those of the DesmosediciGP, weigh only 2.95 and 4.15 kg respectively for the front and rear.
The third-generation electronically controlled Öhlins NIX/TTX suspension installed on the Streetfighter V4 S has a wider range of adjustments, allowing for the use of more comfortable calibrations for on-road use and more sustainable and effective use when riding between the kerbs of a racetrack. At the same time, the increased working speed of the hydraulics provides more precise and accurate feedback in any driving situation. In addition, compared to the Panigale V4, the rear suspension has been revised in its progressiveness to achieve greater comfort on the road. Driving comfort is further enhanced by the "Cruise Detection" strategy. The system softens the suspension when a constant speed is detected, such as when driving on the highway. This strategy significantly increases driving comfort.
Like the new Ducati Panigale V4, the Streetfighter V4 is also equipped with Brembo Hypure™ brake calipers. Lighter (60 grams per pair compared to the previous model's Stylema) and more powerful, Brembo Hypure™ calipers dissipate heat generated during braking more effectively, ensuring more consistent braking performance and therefore greater effectiveness for riders chasing new best times.
The Race eCBS system with cornering function, developed by Ducati in collaboration with Bosch, can activate and modulate the rear brake. This limits load shifting and improves the bike's stability during the braking phase, both on the road and on the track, even when the rider only applies the front brake. The system, which can now be adjusted in five levels instead of the previous three, intervenes at the lowest levels developed for use on the race track in a similar way to what professional drivers do. At the higher levels, which are intended for road use, it improves safety and driving stability at the same time.
Ducati Vehicle Observer The Ducati Vehicle Observer, an algorithm developed by Ducati Corse in MotoGP, simulates more than 70 sensors, refining electronic control strategies that achieve unprecedented efficiency in series production. The precision of this functionality allows the control system to intervene almost anticipatively to meet the needs of the driver in search of maximum performance.
The 2025 Streetfighter V4 features a comprehensive package of advanced electronic controls: Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Vehicle Observer, Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Wheelie Control DVO, Ducati Power Launch DVO, Engine Brake Control and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0. The DQS 2.0 system uses a strategy based solely on the angle position sensor of the gear drum. This means that the usual microswitch can be dispensed with. This gives the rider a more direct shift feel, and the lever travel is noticeably shorter.
New 8:3 display The new 6.9-inch colour display with an aspect ratio of 8:3 offers maximum readability and fits perfectly into the line of the new Streetfighters. The screen uses optical bonding technology to ensure optimal readability on a black background, even during the day. The interface offers different views (Info Modes) for use on the road or on the track, combining completeness and readability of the information in Road mode, while Track mode supports the driver in the search for maximum performance.
The display dynamically changes its layout by moving the columns and redistributing the areas to provide maximum visibility to the functions that are currently in use, such as navigation. Similarly, when Views mode is selected, the left column gains space by moving the tachometer to the right and compressing the right column to show the various functions available, including the TPMS, instantaneous torque and power delivered, lateral and longitudinal acceleration values, instantaneous lean angles, and throttle and brake actuation.
The Info Mode Road has a very clear graphic, with the emphasis on the circular tachometer that sits in the middle and shows the gear engaged. The left side of the screen is reserved for settings, navigation (if installed), music player, smartphone management and optional heated grips, as well as the various functions available for each of these features. On the right side, the speed, time, water temperature and cruise control (if activated) are displayed.
The Info Mode Track, which is combined with the Riding Mode Race as standard, has been designed to focus on the most important information when riding on the track. The rev counter is located at the top of the screen, with a scale compressed up to 9,000 rpm, while the driver will find the indicator of the gear engaged in the centre and the set levels of electronic control (adjustable via the right rocker) and their activation on the right. In the left column there is the lap timer which, when installing the DDL or via the GPS module, can display the lap time with different split times, the number of laps and the indication of the improvement in absolute numbers or in relation to the session with the same color codes - white, gray, orange, red - as in MotoGP.
The new Streetfighter V4 is available in V4 and V4 S versions and will arrive at dealerships in March 2025. The S model is equipped with Öhlins suspension and steering dampers, forged wheels and lithium battery. Both are offered as single-seaters, with a pillion kit available as an accessory,
