Ducati launches new version of Hypermotard
Photo: Ducati The new RVE version of the Ducati Hypermotard features a special "graffiti" coating and an eye-catching graphic design. It is inspired by the Hypermotard 950 Concept Bike, which was introduced at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in 2019. A new painting process and the application of the graphics are intended to produce a result comparable to that of an airbrush. In order to transfer the same manufacturing quality from the concept bike to the standard motorcycle, it was necessary to use highly qualified workers in the painting phases, to use graphic films with very low thickness and to apply a particularly long and complex process.
The electronic package of the Hypermotard 950 RVE still includes the Ducati Quick Shifter (DQS) Up / Down EVO as standard. The special painting called "Graffiti" is said to be inspired by street art. The motorcycle thus builds on the success achieved by the Hypermotard 950 concept on social media in 2019.
The Hypermotard 950 RVE is equipped with the two-cylinder Testastretta 11° engine with 937 cc displacement, produces 114 hp at 9,000 rpm and has a torque of 9.8 kgm, more than 80% of which are already available at 3,000 rpm. The two-cylinder engine is perfectly suited to offer maximum driving pleasure both when driving on the race track as well as on winding country roads or in the city.
At the top of the Hypermotard 950 series is the Hypermotard 950 SP with racing graphics, the Öhlins suspension with extended travel, Marchesini forged rims and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up and Down EVO.
