Flagbit is responsible for the shop relaunch of Touratech GmbH based on Magento 2
Touratech has been manufacturing high-quality motorcycle accessories for more than 30 years. Sophisticated motorcyclists from all over the world appreciate the quality of the indestructible parts. Around 350 motorcycle enthusiasts are working at the headquarters in Niedereschach to create more than 3000 products for fantastic experiences with the motorcycle.
In addition to individual customer advice on site in Niedereschach in the Black Forest with a 1000sqm showroom and its own locations in Hamburg and Kassel, Touratech GmbH also sells its products through numerous partners with sales bases throughout Germany as well as a worldwide network of distributors. The shops around the globe are not only synonymous with first-class accessories and fair advice. Thanks to their dedicated owners, they are bases for the global motorcycle travel scene, where you always provide advice and assistance to passers-by.
In addition to direct contact with the customer, online retail is becoming increasingly important and so Touratech delivers the products for adventurers all over the world with the help of more than 20 webshops.
The online shop offers the complete selection of all products that developers develop with great attention to detail and which are manufactured in a separate production facility of 350 employees in Germany in the Black Forest.
Touratech's passion for the product has become the number one adventure motorcycle equipment. Touratech had its first online presence in 1996, the first webshop in 1998, and was thus a pioneer in the industry. With the relaunch of the online shop based on Magento 2, Touratech is taking the next step and laying the foundation for the next few years with its "Mobile First" strategy.
Touratech has been relying on a Magento shop for many years. Internationally, the webshop is the decisive component of success, whether delivered to the customer via distributor or directly from the central warehouse in Germany. "The online business has already developed very well with Magento 1 in recent years, with the Switch on Magento 2 and a new product information system, we will reach a new level," says Martin Wickert, CMO of Touratech GmbH.
"Due to the extremely positive experience with Magento 1, switching to Magento 2 was the logical consequence, with the aim of improving usability, optimizing checkout, accelerating loading times, perfecting mobile representations and, of course, meeting the demands of the many languages, currencies, payment service providers, etc. that exist worldwide in the approximately 50 countries that Touratech supplies. , says Jo Wolframm, Head of E Commerce at Touratech GmbH. Touratech once again commissioned The Magento-Commerce partner Flagbit, who was already responsible for the previous Magento 1 shop, to implement the project.
In order to further improve the usability of the shop, the search function and the category view have been fundamentally revised, the integration of a bike finder improves the shopping experience and leads the customer directly to the right product. In addition, Touratech can provide its customers with numerous features such as search suggestions or a fault-tolerant search. The view category is about the greatest possible clarity. Dynamic direct links to the corresponding subcategories as well as extensive category filters allow customers to narrow down the display based on the desired criteria. Extensive content below the product display helps to find the right product more easily.
Touratech also pays great attention to the best possible clarity and usability when it takes the product detail page. And so it is now possible to give special product categories such as Touratech Suspension its own look and feel within the framework of the webshop and yet to be completely integrated into the Touratech world.
"We are pleased to continue our long-standing cooperation with Touratech with the implementation of the Magento 2 online shop and the introduction of Akeneo PIM. As a pioneer in the industry, Touratech is thus optimally equipped for the further challenges of digitalization," says Gitta Engelhardt, project manager at Flagbit at the implementation partner, the e-commerce agency Flagbit from Karlsruhe.
The relaunch is only the start of further optimization of the shop and the challenges of the international business ensure a permanent optimization of the buying experience.
