Photos: Yamaha (factory) Yamaha introduces the new XSR 900
At Yamaha, XSR stands for retro bikes based on the naked bikes. There is e.B. an XSR 700 with the twin of the MT-07. And the MT-09 also has a retro sister: the XSR900. It is precisely this model that Yamaha has now renovated and made fit for the year 2022.
We already know the Euro-5 compliant CP3 engine with 889 cc displacement from the MT-09. A wonderful triple, which, according to our test impressions, goes forward much more strongly than the data sheet suggests. Yamaha sat on the new XSR 900:"As the ruler of the Sport Heritage category, the XSR900 is the ultimate embodiment of the Faster Sons philosophy. The high-performance motorcycle draws on the design of legendary Yamaha models and is the result of decades of intensive research and development."
