Jens vom Brauck and his company JvB-moto don't do things by halves. The special look of the machines, which come from the Cologne motorcycle manufactory, now fascinates the international scene and the highlight is that the JvB bikes are by no means capacities that are railed from exhibition to exhibition, but machines that are built for riding.
So far, Jens' heart was on combustion engines, but when he sat on a LiveWire for the first time in early 2020, it had happened directly to him. "I was immediately thrilled. The most impressive is the blatant torque of 0 revolutions on – a huge addictive factor," the custom professional describes. "The suppleness and the perceived lightness of the drive are also inspiring. There is no play in the powertrain, no transmission, no primary drive, no clutch. The engine hangs super directly – virtually digitally – on the throttle." So Jens didn't have to think twice when Harley-Davidson asked him to rebuild a JvB-style LiveWire that same year. Now the result is on its wheels, it's called The silent Alarm and it really has it all: a look that appeals to passionate motorcycle fans and at the same time comes across as fresh and special.
"I think to reach serious motorcyclists, you have to develop a serious motorcycle design, and not distract with futuristic plastic look and hubless wheels," the builder describes his approach. That's why he tried to combine classic lines and proportions with a very modern design language and to create a clean, minimalist café racer style despite his comfortable seating position. JvB-moto has completely redesigned all the essential visible parts for the LiveWire, using particularly light and stable materials such as carbon and fiberglass. These include the tank dummy, the seat-rear unit, the front fender, the air intakes and the new front end with instrument holder, headlights and auxiliary headlights in carbon housing.
If your mouth is watering at the sight of the machine, simply turn to Jens and his company. JvB-moto does not want to offer parts or kits, but a noble small series with exclusively built machines.
